FLOTHERM is a 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software package developed by Flomerics for predicting airflow and heat transfer in electronic systems. Optimized for electronics cooling, it enables thermal engineers and PCB/mechanical designers to model components, heat sinks, fans, printed circuit boards, and enclosures, and to evaluate forced and natural convection, conduction, and radiation. FLOTHERM offers an electronics-focused object library, automated meshing on a Cartesian grid, and direct ECAD/MCAD import (such as IDF, ODB++, and STEP), streamlining model setup. Users can run steady-state or transient analyses, perform parametric what-if studies, and generate compact thermal models to accelerate design iteration. Results include temperature and velocity fields, pressure drops, and component junction temperatures, helping teams identify hot spots, compare cooling strategies, and reduce physical prototyping. FLOTHERM is used across industries including telecommunications, computing, automotive, aerospace, and consumer electronics for reliable thermal design.
FLOTHERM is developed by Flomerics and is used by 1 user of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 9.1, 9.3, 10.0, 10.1 and 12.0. The name of the program executable file is flotherm.exe.
